Weekend Warriors Week 7 Wrap-up

A look back on Friday's Tear It Up! projections and waiver moves to boost your team!

Matt Cassel (QB) - Good for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 18 attempts!  A solid and usable line from Cassel this week. Kansas City's rushing game was dynamite, forcing them away from the passing game.  Look for Cassel to put up good numbers in next week's matchup against Buffalo.

Danny Woodhead (RB) - Woodhead only produced 52 total yards this week.  On a brighter note, those watching the game may have noticed Woodhead's usage within the red zone.  He handled every situation well, gaining positive yardage in most.  It left many us thinking "why not keep giving him the ball?"  The scores will come - feel free to deploy him weekly, especially in deeper leagues.

Lance Moore (WR) - Lance hauled in only 5 catches for 43 yards this week.  Cleveland played much better defensively than expected, capitalizing on Drew Brees's career high 4 interceptions.  Wait until the running back situation in New Orleans clears up before relying on Moore.  With Colston returning to form, Moore may emerge again as a threat.

Tony Moeaki (TE) - Moeaki failed to find the end-zone this week against the Jags and hauled in only 3 catches for 42 yards (1/6 of Cassell's attempts).  He capitalized on the looks he was given but Kansas City simply didn't throw the ball enough.  Moeaki faces the Bills next week and they have not been able to stop tight ends this year whatsoever (look at Todd Heap's performance yesterday)  Look for him to produce.

Kansas City (DEF) - The Chiefs were a solid play on defense this week especially with a handful of teams on bye.  They allowed only 20 points, while producing 1 sack, 2 interceptions, and a touchdown against Jacksonville.  Look for them to dominate next week again!

Around the League adds after the jump!

Waiver Wire

Matt Cassel (QB) - Cassel is still available in many Yahoo! and ESPN leagues, we're keeping him here until he is more widely owned.  A look at his friendly upcoming schedule:

Buf, Oak, Den, Ari, Sea

Danny Woodhead (RB,WR) - Pick him up!  Still under 60% owned in Yahoo! and under 30% in ESPN.

Devone Bess (WR) - Bess has been just under the radar for a while and is primed to break out.  Look for our special post on Wednesday all about Devone Bess!

Tony Moeaki (TE) - While Moeaki struggled against Jacksonville, he should bounce back against the Bills.  He is seeing a nice percentage of Matt Cassell's total attempts.
