Bold Play of the Week - Davone Bess!

This week we're deploying Davone Bess of the Miami Dolphins!  Bess has been flying under the radar for the past season or two and has been finding his stride the past 4 weeks:

vs. NYJ - 86 yds
vs. NE - 96 yds, 1 TD
vs. GB - 37 yds, 1 TD
vs. Pit - 66 yds, 1 TD

Bess faces Cincinnati this week, the defense that Roddy White tore apart last week for 201 yds and 2 TD's.  He is a very solid play this week, especially if you have multiple players on bye.  Defenses will continue to put strong coverage on Brandon Marshall, leaving Bess open in the slot.  Look for him to shine!

USA Today sports claims in an article today that "Bess does not have the physical tools to be a game-changer" and "fantasy owners in most formats should continue to ignore him since he has very limited upside in a modest pass offense."

More after the jump!

The slot: Don't get carried away with Davone Bess

Davone Bess proved in college at Hawaii that he can be a game-changer: named all-WAC first team three years in a row and WAC freshman of the year in 2005.  He is finding his spot in Miami's offense and building a rapport with Chad Henne.  Use Bess carefully in upcoming weeks but expect great things this week in Cincinnati!
